Ricardo Giraldo
Social communicator and journalist who has had a consolidated career in audiovisual production and documentary journalism. He participated in the production of two documentary series for RTVC, focusing on fundamental topics for the understanding and dissemination of culture and social reality in Colombia. His work in projects such as "Músicas Indígenas" and "Colombia Científica" has allowed him to explore and give voice to the diverse perspectives and traditions that enrich our society.
His focus on deep and meaningful storytelling, combined with his ability to research and present information in a clear and persuasive manner, has allowed him to excel in the field of documentary journalism. He is committed to journalistic ethics and professional rigor, values that he considers fundamental to any project in which he participates. In addition, he had the opportunity to direct two documentaries that address sensitive issues such as the armed conflict and social leadership in Colombia. These projects have been exhibited by the Truth Commission in several European cities, contributing significantly to the international understanding of the situation of social leaders in our country. Both documentaries have been recognized with national journalism awards, including the Orlando Sierra Hernández Award and the Regional Journalism Award of Revista Semana, El País Contado Desde las Regiones.
